New Year’s Cycling Resolution

4000 Miles & 48 States

This year, I’m tackling a massive goal: riding my bike in every single one of the lower 48 states. It’s the perfect excuse to break in my brand-new ARI Shafer gravel bike and push its limits on backroads across the country. I won’t just be pedaling, though; I’m bringing my camera to document the grit and beauty of the landscape from the saddle. Seeing the world at 15 miles per hour reveals hidden details and textures you simply miss when speeding by in a car. I want to share those unique moments with you, so please keep checking back to follow along as this adventure unfolds.

My goal for the year is to ride 4,000 miles. It’s an ambitious target, but one that will keep me motivated as I explore new terrains and push myself further with every ride. Each mile will be a step closer to experiencing the diverse landscapes the lower 48 states have to offer while challenging my endurance and capturing unforgettable memories along the way.
